Try Storyblok

Storyblok is the first headless CMS that works for developers & marketers alike.

At Storyblok, we strongly believe in transparency and want our customers to have a chance to try our product before making a long-term commitment. That's why we have always offered free trials to allow users to see how Storyblok works from the inside.

Now, we are excited to introduce new trials per plan to make the testing process even more straightforward and user-friendly. These trials are tailored specifically for each plan, offering clearer insights into the unique features of our various plans.

What's new:

  • Separate trial version for each plan
  • New improved flow
  • Possibility to test several plans at once
  • Trials are available for both new and existing users

Now, let's dive deeper into each update.

How to start a trial in Storyblok?

When you create a new space, you'll be taken to a page where you can select the plan and start the trial.

You can choose between Community, Entry, and Business plans.

→ For the Community plan, there will be no actual trial because this plan is free for 1 user. Fill in your details and you will be subscribed immediately.

→ For the Entry plan, after submitting payment details, your 14-day trial will start with the Entry plan's available features and limits. After 14 days, you will be automatically subscribed to the Entry plan.

→ For the Business plan, after submitting payment details, your 14-day trial will start with the Business plan's available features and limits. After 14 days, you will be automatically subscribed to the Business plan.

→ If you wish to test the Enterprise plan, you'll have to fill out the contact form to discuss your requirements with our team first.

Comparison between Storyblok’s plans

Once you choose a plan and start your trial, you can also create a Demo Space within your account. This will enable you to promptly test Storyblok in this pre-built space without creating all content from scratch.

How do I test different plans?

You can have one trial per Space, so you have two options to compare plans.

Option 1:

You can switch between plans during a single trial within a Space. For instance, you can start a trial with the Entry plan and later switch to the Business plan or vice versa. However, keep in mind that you still have only 14 days for the overall trial. Therefore, whichever plan you have on the 14th day will be the one you continue with.

Option 2:

You can create a separate Space per each plan. For example:

  • Space 1: Entry plan
  • Space 2: Business plan

However, if you want to keep only one plan, don't forget to cancel the rest before the trial ends. Otherwise, you'll be charged for each plan you tested.

Are trials available to current users?

If you already have an account with Storyblok, you can still try plans different from your current one.

To begin a free 14-day trial, you need to create a new Space in your account and choose the desired plan. During the trial period, you can switch to another plan if needed. After the trial, you will be billed for the selected plan.

How do I cancel my trial?

If you want to cancel your trial, just navigate to the subscription menu in your space settings. By clicking on the " billing preferences/invoices " button you will be taken to an environment where you can cancel your trial.

Will I be warned when my trial is ending?

Yes, we will warn you both via email and in the Storyblok app about the number of days you still have in your trial so you are always updated to make the right choices.

Wrapping up

By introducing trials per plan, it will become easier for new users to learn about the various features that Storyblok offers, and to choose between the available plans.

This will eventually help new users select the most suitable plan for their specific requirements, as well as enable current users to test new features before deciding to upgrade to higher plans.
