Vital Essentials, a leader in raw pet food, needed a standout website to grow their business in a competitive market. The site had to be visually appealing, provided with a forward-thinking tech stack, fast, user-friendly for purchases or finding local retailers, and easy for the client to update. Additionally, it needed to grow as the company grows – from a content, product category, and sales perspective.
To achieve these goals, Swarming utilized custom field types to connect Storyblok with Shopify collections and products. Additionally, they leveraged the Datasources feature for reusable content and pre-built options and nested Storyblok components for a reusable, efficient build. Finally, they decided to host the website on Vercel. As a result, with the decoupled tech stack, Vital Essentials experienced a website performance boost, whereas content marketers could easily manage content independently from the dev team.
