39,000 created projects in 365 days  - A full year at Storyblok

2021 has been quite an exciting adventure for us here at Storyblok, and while we’re just around the corner to the New Year, we’d like to take the opportunity to celebrate and take a retrospective view into how much and how far we’ve accomplished this year together as a company, and with you; an enormous thank you to our Storyblok community, partners, customers, and everyone in our Storyblok ecosystem for supporting us throughout this year!

We’ve grown tremendously over the past year from 24 back in December 2020 to almost 100 employees. Even more, we’re excited to be an international company, with 30 nationalities who are based in more than 28 countries worldwide. And while we’ve grown at an incredible rate, we’ve also taken the time to get to know one another through our #cooking, #random, #pets, #bookclub, or #anime Slack channels. Our great operations team also arranged a 3-week-sports-challenge for us all to participate in worldwide through running, walking, and cycling.

But let’s take some steps back to January 2021. We excitingly announced our Series A funding round, which has propelled us into the next generation of headless CMSs out there, following our Early V2 Storyblok Preview Launch in November this year. If you haven’t already, make sure to take a look!

We also continued to grow in our outreach and community, where we participated in 87 conferences and talks with the new normal for us to attend conferences again in person (safely and vaccinated), sponsored 13 technology conferences and 7 marketing conferences, as well as 9203 total commits (for 67 different repositories).

On top of that, we recently joined the MACH Alliance, and in November last year, around the time we were writing our last year in review, our G2 rankings were at 15th place. We’re over the moon one year later, to take on 1st place as the #1 trending Headless CMS, trending in the Web CMS category and Momentum Leader, as well as the highest-rated Headless CMS!

And while we continue to strive for the best talent, seek the best resources to continuously create Storyblok for you, we also scaled up big-time in our Storyblok app alongside our V2 preview launch!

• 4295 tweets from our community about Storyblok
• For our beta program, we onboarded more than 3,600 beta users and sent about 1000 t-shirts worldwide (see the #storyblokbetacrew hashtag  on Twitter)
• 1275 new followers on Twitter
• 2850 new followers on LinkedIn
• 511 new partner agencies
• 850+ new members on our Discord server
• 25,000 cloned Storyblok repos
• 1151 merged Pull Requests
• 76 new short and long-form customer case studies published
• Launching our ‘Partners of the Month’ starting with Made People in October, Virtual Identity in November, and mediawave commerce GmbH in December

And with all these momentous milestones, we could not have done it without you.
